The Source Code for SpyEye, a Famous data stealing Trojan ,has been leaked on the web today and now could easily be adapted and used by any cybecriminal with virtually no cost or chance of being getting caught
Slash Dot says "The SpyEye malware kit has long been both the bane of unsuspecting victims and a boon for cyber-criminals. Now, according to security researchers, the situation may have taken a turn for the worse. The SpyEye Builder patch source code for release 1.3.45 was leaked by the Reverse Engineers Dream Crew (RED Crew) recently after a crew member was able to locate a copy of SpyEye Builder 1.3.45 and create a tutorial that enables a reader with SpyEye Builder to crack the hardware identification."
According to a blog posted by Bodmer on the Damballa website, the SpyEye builder patch source code (release 1.3.45) was leaked by French security researcher Xyliton, part of the Reverse Engineers Dream (RED) Crew.
SpyEye is actually sold by its author at a price of approximately 500 $ USD for a base bundle, it is cheaper than the price of Zeus Trojan that is sold for more than 1,000 $ USD, but it looks like to have all the requirements, if not more, of the famous Zeus Trojan.
