Google Replace Picasa and Blogger Names

As part of Google’s latest transformation frenzy, which includes a revamp of Google Search and Docs, a black YouTube experiment, black navigation bar and the introduction of Google and 1, it has revealed that the names of Picasa and Blogger will also be changing.
Although the products, which are two of Google’s most highly utilized products, won’t be changing, Google will be retiring the names and introducing titles that are more relevant to Google.
Resembling Apple’s use of the ‘i’ (iPad, iPhone etc), reports are suggesting that Google will be changing the name of Picasa to Google Photo’s, and the name of Blogger to Google Blogs. Both products were acquisitions of Google’s and a name change will finally bring them both solidly into Google’s network.
Google seem to be re-branding, bringing a thick sense of unification to its products. Although, with YouTube being another of Google’s most popular acquisitions it’s a little surprising that we’ve not seen more tampering than just a black design.
Although Google have declined to comment on its re-branding, Mashable have said that the whole process will start making an appearance within the next 6 weeks to coincide with the public debut of Google scheduled for July 31st
