Method 1:
1. Go to START > RUN. Type GPEDIT.MSC
2. Navagate to USER CONFIGURATION >ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES >Click on DESKTOP
3. On the right hand pane find "Remove Recycle Bin icon on the desktop" , double click on it to ENABLE it.
Sorted!
Method 2:
1. Goto Start > Run and type "Regedit", Press ok
2.Goto following registry entry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel
{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
if key is not there create it by right clicking in panel on right side of NewStartPanel. and type the key name as "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}". Modify the key by double clicking and set its value to 1.
and you are done
