Anonymous Threatens BiH Governments and Computer System Admins

The Popular group of hackers 'Anonymous' now has threatened the BiH Government and their System admin's to bring down their systems at institutions.
Expert say the information systems in the institutions of BiH is a easy target
The country is home to three ethnic groups, or so-called “constituent peoples”, a term unique for Bosnia-Herzegovina. Bosniaks are the largest group of the three, with Serbs second and Croats third. Regardless of ethnicity, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina is often identified in English as a Bosnian.
Recently the have hacked the Bart.org in protest of OpBart.
They have also created tehir own websirte AnonBosnia which stated that they want to git rid of the interference of government in the lives of ordinary people
They also added that it will make its site and lists the media who write the truth.

Anonymous to BART: We Hack. We Organize, Too

Anonymous, the loosely affiliated group of computer hackers, is planning a flesh-and-blood demonstration Monday afternoon in San Francisco to protest the Bay Area Rapid Transit cutting off underground cellphone service to thwart protesters.

Since Thursday, when BART temporarily shut down cellphone service in its tunnels to prevent a protest against police violence, the group has gone on the offensive. It hacked into myBart.org, a Web site for BART riders, and leaked the names, phone numbers and passwords of users.

Now Anonymous is calling for people to gather at the San Francisco Civic Center Bart Station at 5 p.m., wearing shirts stained with blood or paint. In addition to putting a call out on Twitter, the group said that it has sent an e-mail to the approximately 120,000 people it found on BART’s own mailing list, asking them to attend.

They Added "Remember to bring your mask, and remember that this is a peaceful protest. Anonymous does not support violent action and it is discouraged

Anonymous also appolized to the citizen in this manner We apologize to any citizen that has his information published, but you should go to BART and ask them why your information wasn’t secure with them. Also do not worry, probably the only information that will be abused from this database is that of BART employees,” the group wrote on the Web site where it posted the leaked information."

BART shutdown the cellphone services  but the Anonymous released an Android app that allows you to still send messages  when BART has shut off cell phone access

The app can be found here bit.ly/n6dfMI

OpFacebook is just a rumor

Anonymous has denied involvement in what is being called Operation Facebook, via Twitter accounts that the group has used to communicate with the media.

From the @GroupAnon Twitter feed, which has more than 27,000 followers
  • No one can speak for the whole of #Anonymous. There are some anons who support #OpFacebook whilst others do not. | #AnonOps
  • @Anonymous_SA Exactly! #OpFacebook is just an Op, it’s not Anonymous…

And from @AnonOps, which tallied nearly 48,000 followers at the time of this post:

  • We prefer to face the real power and not to face to the same medias that we use as tools. #OpFacebook #Anonymous
  • #OpFacebook is being organised by some Anons. This does not necessarily mean that all of #Anonymous agrees with it.
  • Dont be silly. Important things are happening in the world to deal with quirks like #OpFacebook. Lets keep our style & moral #Anonymous
  • TO PRESS: MEDIAS OF THE WORLD… STOP LYING! #OpFacebook is just ANOTHER FAKE! WE DONT “KILL” THE MESSENGER. THAT’S NOT OUR STYLE #Anonymous

Finding Facebook also pointed out that Anonymous usually offers only a few day's notice before its attacks, and that news of Operation Facebook was uncharacteristically slow to spread following the July 16 creation of Twitter account @OP_Facebook and a FacebookOp YouTube channel.
Finding Facebook said Facebook did not reply to its request for comment, but it perhaps indirectly responded to the threat with a post on the Facebook Safety Blog introducing its security team.

Anonymous takes over, defaces Syrian Defense Ministry site

In a bold hack to start off the week, the hacktivist group Anonymous has attacked and defaced the Syrian Ministry of Defense’s website, in a move meant to rail against Bashar Al-Assad’s regime. The hack comes amidst growing unrest and violence in Syria. At the time of this post, the Defense Ministry’s site has been rendered completely inaccessible, but you can view a mirror of the attack at Zone H. The group brought attention to the attack on its AnonymousIRC Twitter account.
The hack showed Anonymous’s logo on top of the Syrian flag, videos depicting the country’s tumultuous unrest, and also contained a message in English and Arabic. Addressing the Syrian people, Anonymous wrote: “The world stands with you against the brutal regime of Bashar Al-Assad. Know that time and history are on your side – tyrants use violence because they have nothing else, and the more violent they are, the more fragile they become.”
Anonymous also addressed the Syrian military, saying it’s responsible for protecting the country’s people, and that anyone who orders them to hurt or kill women should be tried for reason. The attackers went on to write, “No outside enemy could do as much damage to Syria as Bashar Al-Assad has done. Defend your country – rise up against the regime!”
As The Next Web points out, the hacked site’s source code says it was seized by a hacker named “Poppy.”
In June, the country’s Web access was shut down as mass protests reached their height.

How to Identify a Phishing Scam

Now a days Phishing attack has been common ,any kid can create a phishing page, and track your passwords and Boom you are Hacked. There are people out to trick you into giving those private codes away using a scam called “phishing.” Let’s look at how to identify and avoid falling for one yourself.

What is Phishing?
The strange name sounds a lot like the fishing you do in a lake with a pole. That’s because it’s a similar process: phishers apply bait and wait for a bite. They want you to be the fish.
These scams find ways to get you to a page that looks like the login to a financial institution or other site where knowing your credentials can benefit them in some way. Many times the “hook” comes in the form of an e-mail that appears to be from a trusted source. Also in the e-mail is a call to click a link to go to a site that is made to look like the one you know.
Another common phishing scheme, especially on social networks, is to take advantage of messaging systems built into the products. The messages may even come from trusted friends, who have themselves fallen pray to the scam.
Once you are on the phishing site, if you type your login information, it will be sent to the bad guys, even though it looks just like a site you trust.
Read on to learn some ways to identify a scam before you fall for it.
Look at the URL
This may get a little techy, but it’s something any internet user should learn. The URL (Uniform Resource Locator), which is the web page’s full address, is a telling hint toward whether you’re being scammed.
Your location bar is usually up at the top of the window you use for web browsing. The text inside starts with http:// or https://. The part that comes immediately after that is the host name, like /techgineering.org/. Sometimes, instead it has extra words up front, like /forums.techgineering.org/. That’s called a sub-domain.
Whoever owns the main .com (or .net, .org, etc.) can make as many sub-domains as they want. Scammers use a simple trick to include your bank’s name in front of their own web site name.
Let’s say your bank’s website is yourbank.com. A scammer might use yourbank.securebank.com, which looks pretty good. But remember, your bank can own anything ending in .yourbank.com. But whoever owns securebank.com (the scammer in this case) can put anything in front of securebank.com, including the name of your bank.
Using the URL to identify the scam means you have to understand the difference between securebank.yourbank.com and yourbank.securebank.com. If they look the same to you, know that makes you extra vulnerable. Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse: often the scammers get really devious and use yourbank.com.securebank.com. The URL begins with your bank’s complete web site name, but it’s still a scam!
Some browsers identify the main part of the host name by bolding it in the location bar. That can make it easier to figure out whether or not you’re looking at the real site. Even with the visual aid, it’s still all too easy to misread the text in the location bar.

Too Good To Be True
Your bank just sent you an e-mail. You open it up and the bank claims to have found an error in your favor. “Click here” to claim the money which is rightfully yours! The old saying still has resonance in this connected age. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Your friend may be touting a get-rich-quick scheme. Even if this friend usually shares completely reliable information, be wary. Your friend may have fallen victim to a scam himself. If you have his phone number, pick up the phone and get to the bottom of it. He may appreciate you alerting him to the scam.
Since we’ve all become fairly resistant to this “too good” scam, many phishers use the opposite approach. If it sounds too bad to be true, such as an unexpected large payment from your account being processed by your bank, watch out. The scammers are preying on your desire to fix the problem immediately.
The same goes for unexpected payments or charges with online wallet services like Paypal. When it comes to your money, especially, you can’t be too skeptical. Read on for other ways to identify whether there’s a scammer on the other end of that login form.

Login at the Site Itself
At this point, you have an inkling you’re being phished, yet you also want to know if there really is a deposit waiting for your account. If it sounds too good to be true, and you aren’t able to decipher whether it’s the real URL, it’s time to go straight to the source.
You need to visit your bank, or whichever site this is, directly. Don’t click links in e-mails or messages, but preferably type the address of the site you usually use into the location bar. Alternatively, you can search for the name of the bank and click the search result.
Once you are on the site itself, log in there. Doing this will ensure that you are really on the correct website and not sending your credentials to a third party. When you have logged in, look to verify the information you were told in the potential phishing scam. For example, if your bank e-mailed you about a bounced check, wouldn’t there be some sign of that on the site itself, too?
If you still aren’t sure, you can go old school: Pick up the phone. If the site is a financial institution, there’s got to be a way to call them. Remember to get the number from the real site, not from the site you visit by clicking a link.
Following this and other tips in this article should keep you safe from phishing scams. Healthy skepticism and a little technical know-how go a long way to keeping your personal data secure.
In the Future
Unfortunately, many blame the users who fall for phishing scams. Yes, there are some easy things to do to look out for your information, but technology could help us out. Why can’t web browsers tell us when we’re being phished? In fact, some do now.
Bolding the important part of the URL is one way we’re starting to see the steps toward putting phishing scams behind us. Why couldn’t it also determine from the text on the scam site that it’s pretending to be another site? If scammers aren’t able to use the name or logo of your bank without triggering a red flag, that would take away their most important weapon.
To completely be safe from phishing will require much larger changes. For example, some financial institutions use physical “fobs” with encrypted data to prove your identity. Though implementations aren’t widespread, you can now install a fingerprint scanner on your computer. Devices for facial recognition and retina scans can’t be far behind. At the end, Phishers will go on and on until we won’t make aware ourselves

"PayPal has lost 2.4 TRILLION dollars," and 350,000 accounts, and up

The group of hackers has managed to 350,000 users, and up, close your account with online payment company. Information warfare in support of Wikileaks has taken the form of boycott.

Anonymous has hit the mark once again. His victim was PayPal, online trading company for electronic payments administered by Ebay. The group of hackers has said that his attack has cost about 2.4 billion to its target. The value of shares of stock of PayPal fell 3.8%.

This time Anonymous has not made any cyber attack, but has managed to mobilize their cause thousands of Internet users. Through a call through Twitter and LulzSec coordinated with the movement, which opposes the creation of Internet security systems, Anonymous has made 350,000 people and up, close your account with the service trade mail.
Operation "Paypal" which has been followed by users of the microblogging network through the tag # OpPaypal, life has taken throughout Wednesday. "Our most dangerous weapon are angry citizens who are naturally allied with us," the group said on his Twitter account shortly before announcing his victory. "Paypal has lost up to one billion dollars today. If only 20% was because of us, our mission has been fulfilled", they claimed.
The operation, a full-scale boycott, has been one of the most spoken in social networks, and is justified, say n and Sec Lulz by PayPal's decision to close the accounts of Wikileaks after the publication of thousands of cables confidential diplomatic. "PayPal continues to withhold funds Wikilieaks, a beacon of truth in these dark times," highlighted the two groups in a statement.

What Should You Do Next when Your Password Is On A Public Web Site ?

Getting hacked is a horrible feeling once you realized that it has happened to you. Getting your data hacked on another web site that you trusted to keep your data safe is an even worse feeling than that. When it is your fault that you were hacked it is easier to accept than when a service that you trusted to know better is the one that has exposed your information.
Recently we have seen a lot of web sites have their database data pulled and put on show for the whole world to see. The black hat hackers that do this get a kick out of it and they are trying to show people how skillful they really are. But meanwhile while that hacker is having fun, your data is now out there for the world to see. So if you get to this point, what should you do next? If your password is exposed to the world what are the next steps that you should take?

Change your password:

The most obvious answer is if you still plan on using this web site then make sure that your password is changed. Most web sites will force you to make a change. Even if they do not force you to, change it anyway.
The second thing that you should do is if your email was exposed make sure you change the password on it as well. There are a horde of script kiddies who are going to try and attack the emails that were made public. Make sure that your new password is hard to guess and has a lot of mixed numbers and letters inside of it.
After that, make sure that you change any web site that you visit where you might have used the same password to get in. The worst thing that you can do on the web is use the same password everywhere. But yet a lot of people still do this. Make sure that you end that practice and go back and change all of your passwords which are the same.
Your password being exposed is not the end of the world; just make sure you take the steps that you need to so that the situation is rectified.
Change your Security Question:
Another Thing you need to do is change your security Question. Most of the time attackers get access to your account by just doing some Social engineering about you.
To prevent yourself from being social engineered, Your security question ought to have an answer you won't easily forget and that others can't easily guess
More Things you can do is:
1.Run a Virus and Malware scan
2.Use Https Connection while Browsing your account.
3.Always clear Cookies and history before leaving your browser
4.Onwards don't click on Spams Enable Spam engine .
5. Report to your email service provider.

How to Make Undeletable folders?

We can actually make folders that cannot be deleted in Windows OS.
It must be made using Command Prompt. It can only be deleted using Command Prompt.
Steps:
1.    Go to cmd.
2.    Change to the directory that you want.
3.    Assume i change to D:
4.    So,in Command Prompt,type D: and [enter].
5.    Type in this command "md \lpt1\\" without quotes and press enter.
6.    The folder will now in your D:
7.    Go and try and delete or rename it,you cannot do anything to it.
There are still many names that you can use to name the folder:

********************
-lpt1 until lpt9
-CON
-AUX
********************
To delete it:

1.
    Go to Command Prompt again.
2.    Navigate to the directory.
3.    Type in "rd \lpt1\\" to delete folder.

Why folders with the name CON can’t be created in Windows??

Some people don’t know why they can’t create it?
Very few know that they can still create it someway. But don’t know why are they supposed to do exactly like that.
Now, After reading this ,you will become one of the rest.

Not only CON, we cannot create any of these

CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9 and more

The reason is that con, prn, lpt1..lpt9, etc are underlying devices from the time dos was written. so if u r allowed to create such folders, there will be an ambiguity in where to write data when the data is supposed to go to the specified ugydevices. In other words, if i want to print something, internally what windows does is — it will write the data to the folder prn (virtually u can call it a folder, i mean prn, con, etc are virtual folders in device level). So if we are able to create con folder, windows will get confused where to write the data, to virtual con folder or real one.

So Now, Try this…
Open the Command prompt by Start -> Run and type cmd

Code:
C:\> md \\.\c:\con

Now, Open My Computer and browse through the path where you created CON folder… Surprising?? Yeah, you have created it successfully
Now, try to delete the folder from My computer
OOPS!!! You can’t delete it…

Now, try this in command prompt console

Code:
C:\> rd \\.\c:\con
Yeah!! You did it…

Hide Entire Drives Partition Without Registry.

1)     Go to Start > Run > type “diskpart”.
A DOS window will appear with following description.
        DISKPART>

2)     Then type “list volume
The result will look something like one as shown below-

3)     Suppose you want to hide drive E then type “select volume 3″ , then a message will appear in same window { Volume 3 is the selected

         volume}

4)     Now type “remove letter E” , now a message will come { Diskpart Removed the Drive letter }
sometime it requires to reboot the computer. Diskpart will remove the letter.

Windows XP is not having capabilty to identify the unknown volume. your Data is now safe from unauthorised users.
To access the content of hidden Drive repeat the process mentioned above. But in 4th step replace ” remove” by “assign”.
It means type “assign letter E”.
